Procyon Ridge Capital is a VC fund backed by the Jason & Donna Weiss family office. We write first checks into biotech, chemistry, and defense startups, often before there's a product, deck, or registered company.

Funding Requirements

We invest in biotech, chemistry, and defense startups. Focus areas include therapeutics, drug discovery, diagnostics, medical devices, gene therapy, synthetic biology, AI for drug design, advanced materials, and dual-use defense technologies.

Value add

Beyond capital, we actively support founders through regulatory strategy (FDA, ITAR, EAR, DOD acquisition), IP and tech transfer navigation for university spin-outs, early team building, non-dilutive funding (NIH SBIR/STTR, DOD programs), and follow-on fundraising. Our network spans researchers, clinicians, and operators across biotech, defense, and academia.
